I am pleased to announce that a piece of my art has been accepted for Del Ray Artisans “Toy Stories” exhibit. The exhibit is to celebrate the toys we cherished as kids. I decided to take a slightly different approach as I think books are better than toys. I considered titling my piece that also. I took an old book apart, and I reused the cover and some of the pages to form the pieces of my work. I painted the pages I was reusing then sewed through them. I wanted to show how I think of books as a way to let you imagine the world the book is describing.
My piece will be on display and available for sale January 2-31, 2026 at the exhibit.
