Art

Currently, I am experimenting with creating wall art that is mainly fiber art, but I am exploring integrating mixed media into my pieces. I enjoy and challenge myself to use remnant supplies, found materials, and recycled material in my work. For example, I have started fusing magazine pages and old book pages to fabric then cutting out shapes to sew onto fabric. It provides a wonderful contrast to fiber. I also sew pieces of tissue boxes and snack bags onto fabric for a similar contrast and look. I also put glass and pottery pieces into a rock tumbler to make homemade sea glass and sea pottery then sew them onto my work to provide fun texture on my pieces. For certain pieces, I focus on using techno salvage material like wires, computer chips, and remote control pieces. Several of my art pieces are available for sale in my store.
