I am pleased to announce that I will have three art pieces on display and for sale at Del Ray Artisans’ ChronoScape: Artistic Explorations of Time Travel. ChronoScape is a curated visual arts exhibition at Del Ray Artisans gallery that explores the human fascination with time travel— both real and imagined. From ancient civilizations to speculative futures, this show encourages artists to traverse the timelines of human experience, science fiction, memory, mythology, and the unknown. The exhibition will be open August 7 – 29, 2026. Join us for the opening reception on Friday, August 7 between 7-9pm.
My three pieces in the exhibit are imagined futuristic flowers. They are made of old and new materials. The leaves for all three are made of old book pages that I painted, and the stems are made from crocheted yarn with wires woven through them. All three have compact discs as the backing of the flower. I used wires for the dandelion. The sunflower and rose flowers both have crocheted yarn. The rose also has paper, foil, fabric, and ribbon. The sunflower also has wire woven through the petals and audiotape for the center. All materials are attached using thread.
